RR 1-16: Imprisoning Avinos

Team: Delly (Cael), Fonn (Dragon), Ikhilzis (Schizo), Lae'eni (Aslene), Lottie (Basil), Smokes (Aunne), Ulthane (Sielic), Zenovi (Blank)

You continued the battle against Avinos and his minions. On the Grid, the pool of oil was treacherous footing, and Avinos also projected a sickening aura. You used less lethal attacks to knock out most of the infested humans. Avinos spawned a new leaper, but otherwise appeared to suffer repeated misfortune when trying to strike you. You defeated his Grid-side form and nearly defeated his Swift-side form. Delly, Ulthane, and Ikhilzis chained him, and then Fonn embraced him. Aedin stepped forward and brought Avinos into Adinzar. Fonn received a boon from the Covenant of Chainbreakers.

• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: C: "Remember your chains - consider how you would forge one. Dream it into existence! It is a part of you - and you can manifest it through who you are, and what you can accomplish."
• Lottie: C: "Poor students, I worry their leader is as misled as the young boy back there. I hope we can get through to them before we need to get through them."
• Lae'eni: Lae'eni watches Zenovi flicker. She whispers... "No...no.. now is not a great... oh shoot." Zenovi falls blank. She shifts to the side and basically attaches Zenovi blank to her back, ordering it to follow her step for step, back to back, and sets her into shield mode.
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw 's book is a slim, red-bound volume; a thin, silver? Perhaps silver - chain is looped around her waist and up over a shoulder.. and through the book's spine.
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly hardly seems to notice, she is too involved with Snow, the Woolpertinger, who is badly hurt. Heat flickers off her....
• Fonn Razorenth: Fonn grimaces, uselessly swinging her rapier to get trash water off it. "I'm used to tough conditions, but these?"
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood 's sword suddenly blazes with cold moonlight. It is bright, but not at all warm. It brings a stark bleakness to the shadowy area of the sewer.
• Delly's vision... Frat house... Crowd of undergrad young men, listening to a motivational speaker... "move fast, break things," "get in, kick ass, get out," "closers get sugar" "And now I'll teach you the secret trick"
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: C: "Fonn. Sing for me. Please. Sing a song we both know. /Please/."
• Fonn Razorenth: Fonn performs the equivelent of a incredulous blink through the chain before humming an elven tune under her breath. It's faster than it should be, but still recognizeable. It sounds like "The Song That Never Ends."
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "C: Do /not/ stop. Please trust me in this." And Smokes joins in.. softly, in the chain, with the sense of deep focus. Her book flickers with.. something. Was it scaled before?
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): The Swift /rings/ with song as Delly bristles in from of the team. Those who know elven wuld realize the meaning of her last words- it's old elvish, high elvish, and tanslates roughly to "en guarde".
• Ulthane Stonebeard 2.0: Rifle 1 is unconscious, and tucked into bed by the black ribbons.
• Lae'eni: C: Friendly reminder - oil is highly flammable, and water is highly conductable.
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly brings her blade to bear, and the singing heat that surrounds her rings as th bullet spangs off.
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "c: "...it just goes on and on my friends.. some people.."
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood [Abyssal]: [Translation] "You are disgusting even for a demonically touched being."
• Lae'eni: c: "...actually, that seems somewhat brilliant of a song for an incantation, hard to lose the rhythm of it..."
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "C: 'Likeness is sameness." "... it just goes on and on my friends..."
• Lae'eni: Lae'eni's chain brain also begins humming the song quietly.
• Lae'eni: C: Oh! I could use this truly contagious song in my anti-virus swift code ....
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: C: "Ikhlizis! Delly - please sing if you know it. PLEASE." "... some people .. started singin' it.."
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood: C: I would like it noted that I hate this song. .... it never ends....
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly flicks golden eyes "I'm already singing!"
• Fonn Razorenth: Fonn chuckles. "This is acutally Hikl Verneth by the Ravenican poet 'Ream,' however some of my contacts aware of both songs theorize one was based on the other."
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood: "Your form needs work."
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood: "You're right, we're not at your level. We're above you, far beyond."
• Fonn notes 2 memory beads near the unconscious older spore guard in the ribbons
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw [Draconic]: [Translation] "See what I see - feel what I feel."
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw [Draconic] [Common]: [Translation] For those affected by Topi's spell: You *feel* a flood, a sudden surge of adrenaline, the snarl of something draconic in your ear; even in the midst of Ikhilzis's rage, a surprising moment of pure fury gives you strength, as clawed hands guide your strikes.
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood gives off an alien sense of amusement, as something even smaller than Topi appreciates the rage of the small against large things.
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw [Common]: C: A faint wave of tiredness pushes through the chain from Smokes - that, apparently, took significant resources to do.
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw [Common]: "C: "The ribbons will soon fall. I cannot maintain focus on that and defend others."
• Fonn Razorenth: C: "That's alright, it's no longer vital."
• Lottie: "My friend, you've severely misunderstood the height and cost of the power you were given. What is the point of your power? Do you wish to be a god of waste and cruelty? Please, we can help you. You can find more greatness in helping others than in hurting yourself. My friends and I can help you, but we will not stop defending ourselves. Test your power at your own risk."
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood sprays trash and oil everywhere as he rips the blade out. "BREAK."
• Fonn Razorenth: Fonn tries to pass it off as a bow. It kinda works.
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw [Common]: C: "....I have seen the infection."
• Lae'eni: Lae'eni is visibly a little off, her faceless flight mask reveals nothing but her body isn't centered and she's struggling to keep the leaper from both her and Zenovi blank. One of her shoulder has a visible leaper scratch marring the surface. Whisper briefly wraps it's wings around her and she tries to visibly centers better - dodging the latest rifle blast.
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): C: "Do you want reinforcements?"
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood: "Are you talking about the Bluebird app or something?"
• Lae'eni: C: "Uh... no... we're still okay... and I mean, you've got the big guy... but thank you sweetone!"
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw [Sylvan]: [Translation] "Leave my pack /alone!/"
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): DElly grins, all teeth- there's DEFINITELY catlike fangs in that smile, as she stares down the massive mound with palable /eagerness/. She is not, at ALL, afraid. She's... by all accounts, /delighted/ to be here.
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "... I do not appreciate burning any more than I appreciate being stabbed!"
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "C: CHains! Now!"
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "Don't kill him!"
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "I didn't!"
• Lae'eni: C: Right we need like three chains and an embrace or sometthing?
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "C: Three chains, and an embrace, yes."
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "Yes. I'll be a chain."
• Lae'eni: C: We're still fighing, Love.
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly levels her sword at the thing's chest again. "YEILD."
• Lottie: C: "Who volunteers to embrace the large purple goop infected fungus trash monster?"
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood: C: "I've got it."
• Fonn Razorenth: Fonn wrinkles her nose. "I'd rather not, perhaps someone with a lot of physical strength?"
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "Not me this time I think. Ikilthis is certinaly able to bear hug him though."4
• Lottie: C: "I imagine we might expect to spend the next year at the washboard getting the smell out of our clothes."
• Fonn Razorenth: C: "I think I'd rather burn these."
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "Honestly, I am with Fonn on this."
• Fonn Razorenth: Fonn takes a moment to appreciate whatever level of cleanliness she's currently at.
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood: C: "Harsh Measures are required." (In that same double tone)
