Dynametal is nanite-infused matter. It's inherently magical. It's contains metametal nodes. However, dynametal also includes active nanites. These nanites can reshape dynametal into a variety of simple and complex shapes, and can even shape basic wiring and mechanisms (e.g., hinges, pistons). Dynametal has a much greater density of mundane metal, such as aluminum, titanium, and copper.

On their own, the nanite colony of a dynametal mass can only reshape it slowly, often over hours or days. However, when commanded and enhanced by an outside will, the mass can be transformed far more quickly, even within a few seconds. Furthermore, an outside will can help the nanites mask the dynametal's magical nature from most forms of detection (when it's not actively be reshaped).
