The Mother's Children are human nomads descended from Scandinavians enslaved by the Reaver Combine. They overthrew their masters and drove them off world. They live aboard giant mechanical spiders in the frozen wastes.
The nomads revere the Mother, a face of the Partner.
Ms. Foley is permitted to wear a weapon out of respect for her people's traditions. From age 3 onward, Sihblos nomads never go about unarmed.
