RB 3-16: The Undercity Lab

Mission Report

Absent: Jane Irwin (Cael), Haelra Vayn (Basil), Lyndi Fletcher (Aslene)

The team splits up. Some Raptors remain to further talk with Rixa Galdan about the Circus Divergia. She introduces Vae'gaun, a mutant with a special connection to adintech. Captain Lashell Kinton of Farwatch contacts the team. She apologizes for the surveillance of the Fort and reports that a Brotherhood agent had penetrated Archangel. Kinton offers to share the location of a Brotherhood relay station under Chicago, which was part of the ritual that raised the mechadead hydra. Together with Vae'gaun, the team enters the lab, defeats the defenders, and frees a gold dragon named Olbenym. Farwatch destroys the lab.

  • Cadeos: Studies the liquid in Vince's hand before accepting it and listens, slowly sipping the drink cautiously.
  • Rixa is recovering from the enchantment breaking
• Rixa continues sharing her knowledge and speculation about the Circus

  • Ractor rumbles in Cyrus' mind: There is a great evil beneath the city. Vae'gaun can help you find it and end it
• Rictus reports that he's trying to isolate the metaphysical frequencies used by the Anti-Magic Shell generator
• Rixa further speculates

  • Mechadead is the next iteration of adintech
  • Vae'gaun snarls quietly at the mention of the League.
  • Cyrus Riggs: Cyrus slowly glides over to Proud, and exaggeratedly drinks his hot chocolate next to him.
  • Proud Flame ughs at Cyrus.
  • Vae'gaun steps to Rixa and gently pats her shoulder with one hand, a stilted motion of comfort. He remains silent as Cyrus takes the call.
  • Cadeos: has finished his hot chocolate and exchanges a glance of disgust with Proud.
  • Proud Flame rolls his eyes. Muttering. "They knew about the Hydra. You know they did."
  • Vae'gaun glances at Proud. "Governments are not to be trusted."
  • Vae'gaun is quietly amused.

Into the Undercity

• Vince gives directions to the team
  • Through subway, into undercity
  • Proud Flame will enter the subway with Grimclaw in-hand.
  • Vae'gaun activates his Massive Claws in both hands.

Into the Lab

Battle in the Lab

• Proud finds the control room, throws a grenade, takes out cultists and troopers
• Battle ensues
  • Team disables an officer and trooper, take them prisoner
  • Vae'gaun uses disturbing mutation abilities
  • Cyrus and Cadeos fight well
  • Proud runs fast a lot
• Proud finds a prisoner
  • Olbenym, a female young gold dragon trapped in a human body sealed in a technomagic shell
  • Kneeling atop a computer core jumble (like Draco's stack) (Lyndi and Aunne were there)
  • Dragon souls among the team are very upset by this
  • Proud releases Olbenym from her bonds and Cyrus stabilizes her
• Team vanquishes the remaining hostiles
