Myriad was at the Battle of [[Quarenzend]] and watched the [[Roving Guard]] fall and be captured. They took a blood sample from each [[Unbound]] hero, hoping to target a teleportation extraction. However, they lost the Roving Guard. Instead, they followed another group to Earth and [[NeoCyclic]] in Iowa.

The NeoCyclic researchers built a portal using jumpgate technology. First they reinforced their magical perimeter, preventing Unbound from entering. The perimeter also prevented Myriad from leaving. (Lyndi Fletcher was already a Level 0 Unbound, so it's unclear how she was able to enter.)

The Roving Guard was killed in the Nine Hells, and their bloodstones were turned into metabiotic crystals at [[Ramshead]]. These were pure crystals and would lead to a smooth [[Change]].

Myriad observed Lyndi, Jane, and Chuck break into the facility. Myriad recognized them as agents of good, and decided to give them the pure crystals. Myriad underestimated the energy requirement of serving as the catalyst for the Change, and couldn't leave while the perimeter was down. Subsequently, the perimeter was restored, and then strengthened. Myriad studied the perimeter, developed a plan to hitch a ride on a humanoid, and waited for an opportunity. That opportunity came when [[Raptor Blue]] visited the facility again. Myriad secretly contacted Cyrus Riggs and left on his body.

Myriad is an Assembler swarm. They played a role in the Iowa Event. They have further assisted Raptor Blue.
