The R3M Field Manual advises: Be cautious when sourcing a potion. The Law of Contagion means that once you imbibe a potion, the potion's creator may have a direct link to you for hostile magic, at least until you fully metabolize the potion. Most potion creators are strictly honorable in not exploiting this link.
