Tundinzarn is an extraordinarily powerful artifact. It's also called The Book of Other Doors. Physically, it is a massive tome, approximately 20x14x6 inches. Its cover is a black scaly leather and it's fitted with silver hardware, including a lock.

The pages are allegedly made from an assortment of materials, from vellum to parchment to human skin. The number of pages within is far more than physically possible in a mundane book of comparable size.

According to some legends, each page has a different affinity to a particular spot in the multiverse. A page can be used to instantly transport the user and anyone touching them to that spot.

Over time, some pages have been torn from Tundinzarn, perhaps to prevent a user from traveling to that spot, or for use apart from Tundinzarn. Once separated from the book, a page can take on new, different properties, becoming a distinct magic item. For example, a page for the elemental plane of Fire might function as a Wand of Fireballs, while a page for the Abyss might summon a demon.

Some pages are known to function as prisons, trapping beings who touch them. Some legends suggest this is just Tundinzarn performing the same function in a different way: sooner or later, the prisoner is freed, and probably at a new location by then.

Some legends indicate that a page aren't tied to a single location, but to two or more locations that fit the theme of the page. For example, a page about a burning location might tie to the elemental plane of Fire, a forest fire, an active volcano, etc. A user may be able to get where they want, provided the location is a close enough fit with the theme.

Some legends indicate that Tundinzarn was created by illithid artificers, which would making it a masterpiece of psionics rather than arcane magic.

Some legends indicate that Tundinzarn is sentient. These legends suggest that the book is motivated to recover its missing pages.

• Edge of Loss: This is a thick page of parchment, approximately 19x13 inches. The left edge is torn, as if it's been ripped from a book. It depicts a medieval cottage tipping over the edge of vast, bottomless pit. The sides of the pit are visibly honeycombed with many caves and tunnels. Part of the cottage has already broken off and started to fall. In the revealed room, a figure is kneeling and hunched, hands on their head, apparently in distress (or possibly madness). The media seem to be black pencil and charcoal of different darknesses. The title of the picture is inscribed in flowing text under the drawing. The reverse side is blank. The page holds a very strong aura of enchantment. This page can cause crippling despair. It was found Ramshead, powering a portal to Pandemonium.
• Fields of Gold: This is thick page of parchment, approximately 19x13 inches. The left edge is torn, as if it's been ripped from a book. It depicts a corn field in a meticulously-detailed drawing. The media seem to be colored pencils and watercolors. The title of the picture is inscribed in flowing text under the drawing. The reverse side is blank. The parchment was removed for analysis.) It holds a very strong aura of conjuration. It resisted Identify and similar magical probes.
• Homeland of the Orcs: This page appears to have been torn from a book. It's a beautiful colored pencil, illuminated page, illustrating a fortified orc village on the edge of a wetland. It summons an orc warrior. The League of the Rusted Crown loaned it to Violetta to power a portal to a Prime world.
• She Who Dallies with Shadows: This page appears to have been torn from a book. It's a beautiful watercolor, illuminated page, illustrating a female tiefling sorceror talking to a towering human in dark, vicious armor. The caption reads She Who Dallies with Shadows. It functions as a prison for someone who bargains with outsiders (and it changes to "he" if prisoner is male).
• Through A Mirror Darkly: This is a thick page of parchment, approximately 19x13 inches. The left edge is torn, as if it's been ripped from a book. The medium is colored ink, in a pointillist style. It depicts an aristocratic woman in a conservative dress of Victorian style, looking in a mirror. Her reflection is the same woman, but in more suggestive makeup (e.g., bright red lipstick) and clothing (e.g., plunging neckline, short hem, fishnet stockings). The title of the picture is inscribed in neat text under the picture. The reverse side is blank. The page holds a very strong aura of transmutation.
• Towers of Greed: This is a thick page of parchment, approximately 19x13 inches. The left edge is torn, as if it's been ripped from a book. It depicts Chicago, circa 1980, in a meticulously-detailed drawing. The media seem to be colored pencils and watercolors. The title of the picture is inscribed in flowing text under the drawing. The reverse side is blank. It holds a very strong aura of conjuration.
