Here are the steps to get started at this table. Cinero is happy to help with any of this.
Essential
- Confer with Aslene on what the team needs.
- Skim House Rules.
- Read Covenants.
- For example, this isn't the right table for an amateur, a lone wolf, or someone with an evil plan.
- Ask Cinero to create a Google Doc for your PC.
- Answer questions #1-5 in the Google Doc, and then ask Cinero to approve them.
- Set up Fantasy Grounds.
- Download and install Fantasy Grounds Unity. See: Fantasy Grounds.
- For information on how to connect, see the pinned message in the announcements channel in Discord.
- Once in Fantasy Grounds, load all the modules.
- Set up Syrinscape.
- You can either download and install the Syrinscape Online Player app on your computer, or you can use the browser app. See: Syrinscape.
- For information on how to connect, see the pinned message in the announcements channel in Discord.
- Build your PC.
- (optional) Build your PC outside Fantasy Grounds (e.g., D&D Beyond, on paper).
- Build your PC in Fantasy Grounds.
- At a minimum, you need: Abilities, Saves, AC, Initiative, Speed, HP, Skills, Languages, Weapons, Armor, and Spells.
- When adding a spell or feature, choose the version with parenthetical information in the name. This version is programmed to speed up play.### You're free to manage other aspects of your character elsewhere, such as the Google Doc.
- Most race and class features are available as programmed "spells." We can also program new ones.
- The team manages inventory in the Player Spreadsheet.
- You usually start with the Republic Marshals Standard Kit. Collaborate with the DM on further gear.
- Give Cinero a portrait of your PC, in Discord.
Recommended
- (optional) Answer questions #6-20 in the Google Doc, and then ask Cinero to approve them. When he approves them, you get a free feat. (You can finish this after you've already started playing.
