Tiamat's Mantle-Bearers

Team

Each of Tiamat's Chosen bestows their mantle on a mortal follower. The mantle creates a unique bond between dragon and mortal. The precise nature and function of a mantle is unclear. The Chosen try to keep it that way, including killing anyone who learns too much about the mantles.

The Mantle-Bearers often operate independently, but they can also come together as a team.

Mantle-Bearers

The mantles are:

• Azure Chirurgeon: This is often a vain, brash scholar or medical doctor. Several Chirugeons have been famous for providing "miracle cures" that have unpleasant side-effects or too great a cost.
• Ebon Gravelord: This is often a vicious, sadistic illusionist or necromancer. Several Gravelords have been linked to scandals that brought down leaders and organizations.
• Emerald Cavalier: This is often a cunning, treacherous diplomat and/or spy. Many Cavaliers have been bards.
• Scarlet Miser: This is often a shrewd, ruthless entrepreneur.
• Winter Butcher: This is often a brutal, almost-feral warrior. Many Butchers have been barbarians or druids.

Current Champions

The current champions are:

• **Gendoth Zarr**, the Azure Chirurgeon: an orc archaeologist (he/him) from Eberron. Zarr studies orc civilizations across the multiverse. He wants orcs to turn away from their gods and follow Tiamat.
• **Andri Sharlis**, the Ebon Gravelord: a drow necromancer (she/her) from Faerûn. She is a socialite, with friendships and alliances in courts and capitals on many worlds.
• **Iatro Veritris**, the Emerald Cavalier: a elf bard (they/them) from Tessera. They are a famous singer-songwriter and cold-blooded duelist.
• ** Brent Scimlo**, the Scarlet Miser: a dragonborn sorcerer (he/him) from Sigil. He's a merchant lord, with a network of caravans and trading houses centered on Sigil.
• ** Phala Phrost**, the Winter Butcher: an orc-kin barbarian (she/her) from Cryos. She's bounced around the multiverse as a mercenary and monster hunter.
