Jerry Artino's Story
My name is Jerry Artino.
I was born December 10, 2007.
I was 12 years old on August 3, 2020, when Chicago was closed by the US military.
Residents were first told there was something bad in the air, and they needed to stay inside.
There were rumors that the city was being invaded by aliens, but the government had made a deal to protect us.
The military first occupied the city to keep things calm while the wall was built.
They issues a list of contraband materials, which they seized. This included anything that flies, commercial explosives, heavy machinery, and other stuff.
We didn't know it then, but a Resistance was forming.
Then came the waiting.
The waiting ended with what we call it the Fall: Tue, Aug 11, 2020.
The bugs came from everywhere.
They were giant insects: some that looked like bugs from Earth, others not so much.
The Resistance fought back: bots, drones, and superheroes.
The Angel starting fighting the resistance, then stopped, then targeted the bugs. (The Raptors recognize that this was Archangel, the Farwatch airship carrier.)
