Recentering is an OOC technique. The DM might do it occasionally throughout a session. Furthermore, a player can suggest it, on voice or via a Discord private message.

Recentering starts when the DM says, "Let's recenter."

The table stays silent for about 1 minute. You can do any of the following:

* Just breathe.
* Review your personal notes and/or write new personal notes.
* Type things to send in the chat, but don't push enter.
* Turn off your camera.

You're encouraged to think about:

* The team's goals
* Your PC's personal goals (e.g., how you're trying grow and how that fits with the current mission or challenge)
* Role-playing opportunities (e.g., type a short pose)
* Any questions (IC and/or OOC)
* Body scan (i.e., how you're feeling physically and emotionally, including comfort, hunger, and thirst)

When in doubt, you can type a short pose expressing your PC's physical and/or emotional status.

Once the DM starts talking again, the players can also talk. At that time, you can push enter to send anything you've typed.
