The team continued to discuss the problem of the bloodstone-powered automaton. You met Bernard MacLachlan, the President of R3M, via web video. (MacLachlan was in his jet over the Mediterranean.) He approved a plan to report an "Osaka Protocol" situation: Talarin will retrieve the automaton in the morning because it might interact unpredictably with other paranormal materiel being transshipped through the R3M office. Ulthane and Smokes collaborated to ritually take shavings from the automaton, for possible use of the Law of Contagion. Then you returned to the Bunker to rest. First, Ulthane and Lottie studied the contained glitched Frayed Tinman. You learned that Frayed beings draw power from leveraging paramatter's unstable nature to tear the Weave. You got more insight in the programmer behind the Frayed virus, then destroyed the glitched sample. This let you put the city gloom sample in the containment, so that Fonn and Smokes could reintegrate their paramatter. Lae'eni gave Whisper permission to reshape the dynametal Rasp/starfighter into a layer around the SUV or panel van. You rested in the Bunker overnight. In the morning, you contacted Marcos Martí. He offered to meet with you at a nearby pumping station, and you drove there.

* Team says good-bye to Imari and uses a conference room to discuss
* Fonn Razorenth: Fonn checks the room for hidden survalience devices. ((we're communicating in the chain but I'm curious))
* Lisette: The Talarin Corporation is led by House Talarin, which is mostly based in Tessera. However, Smokes is correct: several other houses of Tanyth Aramont also have true blooded members or retainers in Talarin Inc
* RJ: To be clear, as part of R3M, we need to ensure R3M is protected. However, Raptor Red is a deep cover covert action team. It's your prerogative to decide when and how to ensure that protection.
* Fonn quickly determined how to put the conference room in a hard lockdown. There's minimal risk of any surveillance.
* Delly remembers that House Skyguard is a secret patron of the Order of Silver Comets, and that Brother Iron is a member of the Silver Comets (in addition to his leadership role in One Terra).
* Iron joined Comets sometime after Raptor Blue discovered Skyguard's patronage of the Comets
* Rogue Raptor Risk Management (R3M) is a private military company (PMC). It was founded by Bernard MacLachlan.
* Lottie: Lottie is very sad about moving on but composes herself and compartmentalizes
* Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: ".. .Lottie. Can you make a note: Unless otherwise indicated, we should make a point of coming back here in one week. To deal.. with this. If someone else has not, if we see no momentum. I *despise* this. There is nothing worse than a sting, if only because it leaves suffering to endure."
* Lottie: I will. It is difficult, I did not expect to be in a situation of balancing the pain of souls with the liberation of them again. I suppose you are always meant to find situations that remind you of struggles you learnt to solve.
* Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "The Harmonium always wants to stop the greater suffering - the trade itself. It's a good philosophy, but.. one I am not always happy with."
* Ulthane Stonebeard [Common]: I would be less inclined to leave it if we were not in the middle of establishing our base of operations and initial network of contacts and allies. Us Dvaren have a strong appreciation for making a strong foundation before we try to move out from that. We will definitely return once we have stabilized and secured ourselves.
*Lottie: Yes, I understand. It is difficult to lead someone down an unfinished road.
* Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "...I hate leaving things undone. But. We can only dwhat we can do..."
* Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): She doesn't seem super happy, but she's resigned.
* Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "I do believe informing the Colonel is a goodmove."
* Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "Mm-hmm. And the core mission is, unfortunately, not this. But - I think we'll find time to make a difference. Talarin is being corrupted - losing an ally would be a blow, and a good reason to be extremely nosey."
* Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "... I apologize if I speak with certainty - I am of course not the one to make the decision. These are only opinions."
* Ulthane Stonebeard [Common]: Ulthane hands Smokes a file. "Keep it to a joint or moving part, discrete shavings. Moving parts always have friction issues."
* Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "Sure! Would it be better if you did it? I'm just going to get a few filings and stick them in a bit of glass."
* Fonn Razorenth: "I find motorcycles terribly vulnerable. A well-trained sniper could easily take care of someone when they were stopped in traffic."
* Team travels from R3M to bunker
* Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "So drive faster and don'tl let them hit you."
* Lottie: "I think the perk of that horse is that you don't get stopped in traffic, due to its slender frame."
* Fonn Razorenth: Fonn rolls her eyes and doesn't bother responding to Delly.
* Ulthane Stonebeard [Common]: "A well trained rifleman can stop you in any vehicle, but a small vehicle like a motorcycle can weave through traffic and avoid obstacles a car or truck cannot."
* Lottie: "I much prefer this carriage. It's very comfortable. I feel as if I am in a flying bed."
* Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "Isn't it just? The best part of the entire experience."
* Fonn Razorenth: "I'm referring to non-car chase settings. If I remember correctly, Raptor Blue was attacked in an elevator before." She hums. "The man who sleeps with a machete is a fool every night but one."
* Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "Now that I agree with."
* Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: ".... you're cheating on your sword with a machete? HOW DARE!" She's mock-horrified.
* Ulthane Stonebeard [Common]: "Yes, he is a dead fool on the one night he has an accident with his leg and the machete."
* Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "I'm not going to dignify that with a response. NEenerneener."
* Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "Yes, that's a very mature way of handling adversity." She teases.
* Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "In the same way it is given, it shall be recieved," Delly says with a little smile.
* Ulthane Stonebeard [Common]: "Make a note to ask Ikhilzis to clean up after his tadpole."
* Fonn Razorenth: "I have made my point." She huffs.
* Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw sticks her tongue out at both Delly and Fonn. That's impressive, actually. Y'know. Not-lizard. :)

* Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly quietly peels off the group, heading for the chapel. There, she sets up two small shrines. One is a barnacle-crusted aged bronze round bowl of salt water and a few assorted sea shells, sea glass, and black sand at the bottom. The shells formed a white spiral, stark against the black, with a piece of purple sea glass in the center. More sea glass lay at the edges, greens and blues and browns and whiteish clear; a piece of scrimshaw carved with the scene of tentacles destroying a sailing ship lay near the top, end thrust in the sand. Beside it is a rectangular box with low sides carved of ruddy stone striped with brown and blonde, flecked with mica. Red-gold sand covered the bottom; some pieces of strange slag glass the same kind of shade but darker, all melted together, lay there. Beside them were several massive teeth and large, terrifying, wickedly curved claws. A small figure of a lion-like creature sat there in the sandy bottom, made of gold, with topaz eyes. It seemed to radiate fierce warmth itself, a contrast to the cool peacefulness of the bowl. She lights a stick of inscence in one, the box with the cat, and touches the water, putting a drop on her forehead.
* Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "...Bless this new home of ours, Great Cat; help me protect this pride. Lady Dolmodeen, help me right the wrongs of this cycle. Thank you for you... leftover gifts that will help me do so."
* RJ on watch, Lisette sleeping
* Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: After a few hours of study - with a well-thumbed journal (her spellbook) and a notebook, Smokes can eventually be found snoring. Face-on book, wrapped under a blanket . Curled up in a ball. She snores - surprisingly loudly for a creature of her size.
* Fonn Razorenth: Fonn pokes around the bunker, learning what's in the rooms and why. She examines the doors critically and climbs into the vents at some point. Her clothes are covered in dust, but she seems intruiged by the challenge of securing the base.
* Lae'eni: Lae'eni's hammock is white with fringe and it looks lacy and frivilous. She cleans off the desk in the bay and oils the wood until it shines like amber and sets up her laptop rigs. She hangs a glass lamp that throws colored shards of light around the room but focuses good clean warm white light on the desktop. She places a rug down on the cement floor between the hammock and the desk and has whisper help her carry a large comfy overstuffed chair down there too, for guests or reading. An antique radio that has been upgraded and now has amazing sound and also gets stations not on earth plays wordless jazz quietly. A hand made quilt and a patwork pillow rest in the hammock.
* Lottie: Lottie is slow to move in, she'll live out of a bag near the lab for now. She likes to recharge in different places, variety seems to bring her more comfort than a single place would. She prefers the statis room at present. If something left the containment area or the man recharging in the statis tube awoke, she would be able to wake from her sentry's rest. She begins handsewing herself a dress from a jumpsuit. You get the sense its a frustrating exercise for her, occasionally when passing her she whirrs loudly, drops her project, and walks away to walk a lap around the halls.
* Fonn Razorenth: Fonn claims a room fairly quickly, whatever room is small but not cramped, though she hardly decorates it. Her sword is on the wall -- handle towards the simple bed -- and there's a set of her armor placed on a tiny dresser, but otherwise it feels empty. Eventually, when she's resting from her labor, she'll unpack a small yet ornate (Sigil) chess set and place it on a table. The pieces are always ready for a game.
* Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly picks a room, whichever is left; she isn't picky. She has a second lionlike incense holder and a jet-and-amethyst octopus holding a cup of water; these go carefully on her shelf. Her swords are treated with equal respect, more than she affords herself. Delly takes off her gear and her hat. Snow gets a bowl of greens and water before she flops down on the bed.
* Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "Lae'eni- did you want to make this a thing in the morning?"
* Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly wears a simple tactical vest, standard issue, but more for the pockets than any real protection.
* Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: Topi engages on Fonn's game - and wins. But only *barely*. Perhaps she shouldn't have been so distracted by her amazing waffles.
* Fonn Razorenth: Fonn can be seen slipping a dagger into her vest and another into the back of her jeans right on her thigh, she seems to have an extra pocket there
* Lisette: * RJ is requisitioning ethereal sheath tech for the team. ETA: 2 days or less

* Fonn Razorenth: Fonn puts the one (singular) waffle in a ziplock bag and keeps it in her weapons case. For later, probably.
* Ulthane Stonebeard [Common]: The one waffle to rule them all.
* Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: Waffle perfection may be difficult to achieve, but these are *Servicable*. They're only a little burnt! And runny.
* Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: Perhaps I shouldn't have involved the broiler.
* Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): If researched: Glyntoris Galadant is an older elven woman, with hair as red as Delly's streaked with grey and hazel eyes. She's tall and strong despite her age, and if her fighting style is looked up.... "impressive" is tooild a word. She is fire and speed incarnate, the strength and speed of House Galadant's patron cat made manifest. Her blades sing a song like the desert wind and the roar of the cat, evoking hunting and that predatory nature. Her honors, and those of House Galadant, are apparently well earned.
* Ulthane Stonebeard [Common]: Ulthane furrows his brow, "So only certain elven blades sing? In my clan, if your blade didn't sing, your blade didn't swing. You had to go reforge it under supervision."
* Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "Any blade can make a noise if swung hard enough. /Bladesinging/ is an ancient elven art, and the art is what makes the blade sing. Though having holes in the balde is signature- it helps with balance and channeling the arcane."
* Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "Plus," Smokes offers brightly and unsolicited, "it makes a /neat/ swishing noise. You know. With the holes."
* Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly sighs quietly. "Yes, sure, also that."
* Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "Embrace the fun. We've only so long to embrace it." She grisn.
* Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "I /liiiike/ him." She peers at Marcos. "I /really/ like him. I mean. In a broad sense - he might be a jerk. The jury's out. But I like him." She pulls on an oversize pair of flower sunglasses.
* Fonn Razorenth: Fonn eyes the shadows and other spirit-y effects. She's /really/ curious how he's doing that. For tactical reasons, of course.
